Trivia: legendary and fast East German small format manual focus SLR camera lens with hands down fantastic wide open bokeh and drawing + increasing collector's value. A batch of only cca 5000 lenses has been produced around 1970. One of the most awesome M42 lenses creatively I would say.

Mechanical & surfacial condition: an item used previously. Great mechanical feeling after a recent overhaul. The aperture is fast as meant to be without corrosion, without oil. Focusing feels smooth and balanced in the whole focusing scale. Lens chassis looks excellent and preserves some of the old glance and gloss it once had. No wobbling, no missing screws or inner missing parts - genuine item condition. Great frontal barrell apperance without gnarling suggests the lens was luckily never opened by an amateur. Both filters and metallic cap can therefore be mounted with relative ease.

Glass condition: overall very good but not 'mint'. (Haven't seen 'minty' copy for many years.) My subjective rating: 8/10. Some (relatively) marginal frontal coating flicks, scuffs, faint hairlines mostly visible during a torch test or elaborate examination under lamp, if you know what to look for. Mostly present near the corners (edges). One frontal micro scratch appear to be quite visible and can be even found at first glance (under normal light situation). It is luckily located very near to the lens edge. Middle group of glasses look very good and very clean as not exposed to usual damage risks. The rear looks mostly great too. There is a smidge on the very edge of rear glass visible under lamp. Please go figure abovementioned details into the item gallery (Fig. 3 & 4) to compare with text and evaluate for yourself whether or not the vintage glass condition does match your personal expectations.

Accessories: two plastic lens caps, frontal with custom made print. Original CZJ vintage lens hood (fits OK).
