Georgian Solid Sterling Silver Mustard Pot


Description

A fine Georgian silver mustard pot dating to London, 1827.

Made by renowned silversmiths, Rundell, Bridge & Rundell;

goldsmith, jewellers and royal retailers to the Prince Regent.

The pot of plain, slightly bulbous form, with gilt interior.

The domed lid with plain thumbpiece and engraved with crest.

The handle with attractive acanthus leaf thumb rest.

Hallmarked to the side for Rundell, Bridge & Rundell, London 1827.

A fine piece from one of the pre-eminent makers of the time.


Condition

In antique condition with some wear.

With minor dings and surface wear throughout.

Hinge could do with adjusting, lid is tight when closed.

Maker's mark is partially rubbed.
