Description

An unusual set of Tiffany sterling silver postal scales.

Often seen in brass from Tiffany Studios, but very rarely in solid silver.

Of typical form with stylised shell embellishments.

Marked to the underside as follows:

Made under the directorship of Charles L Tiffany, 1892 - 1902.

A rare piece of antique Tiffany silver.

Condition

In  antique condition with some wear.

The scale face is faded with a break to one corner.

Minor dings and surface wear throughout.

Hallmarks are clear and legible.
