Description
A beautiful French solid silver vesta case. Of solid silver with all over niello vine leaf pattern. Unusually, the case opens when a button is pressed, this causes the sprung compartment to open. Hallmarked with French silver hallmarks (Boar's head). No sign of a maker's mark. An attractive and unusual case.
Condition
In antique condition with expected wear. Minor dings, scratches and surface wear throughout. Some small losses to the silver rim around the strike plate.
