TOKAI EX70 EXPLORER MIJ 1984 - "V.RARE"

Well not many of these about - in fact i actually cant find a Vintage 80s one for sale on the Net...!!??

Its from 1984 and has been well played, but saying that it has had a fret polish and setup and plays and the Tokai original pickups sound great.

Plenty of life left in the Frets.

It has both of the much regarded "57' PAF MODEL" Pickups.

I believe that the tuners have been replaced (as they are Nickel) but think everything else is original however most of the Gold Finish has worn off. (Hey it is 40 years old...!!)

It has various chips scratches dents and the Finish varies in its Gloss level over the body, dont think its been refinished just unevenly worn. It has a patch on the back of the Neck(see pic) where the paint and even the wood has been worn down...this has been seriously loved and played...!!

Finish is either Nitro or very thin Poly.

Will come with an excellent condition SKB Flight case which is about £150-200 worth.

Would prefer collection only at the moment as these are so rare the chances of anyone having tried one out before is pretty much Zero and i want the new owner to be happy with their purchase.

Wasnt sure where to start the bidding from but the last Tokai 80s Explorer i see up for sale was from Faber Guitars in Germany and that sold for £1500 (+Import duty and Shipping).
