These sabers were produced at the end of the 19th century. The blade was made in Germany most of the time. Forged here by the famous '' WAFFENFABRIK '' manufacture known mainly for its MAUSER C96.

Description :


Magnificent and rare Swiss cavalry officer's saber. The handle is in white steel, very solid as it should be on this type of model, with a single branch guard and the leather thumb clip still present. The handle is made of wood, covered with skate skin (RARE), no play, very solid. Tan present on the guard and the scabbard.


The blade is in good condition, still shiny, marked on the right '' WAFFENFABRIK NEUHAUSEN '' (rare and also known for having produced the famous C96 MAUSER) and on the left '' 5012 05 ''. The scabbard is made of metal, also in good condition, very solid, hallmarked. This magnificent saber was found in an attic between the Belgian and French border and it is 100% original and in good condition.
