Pentax *ist DL and Sigma 18-200mm F3.5-6.3 lens kit

I am the original owner and this camera kit combination was bought in Japan. The documents are in Japanese, however the Operating Manual and camera is in English.

It is an excellent beginners camera which started me off my photography journey. Now, after many years of holding on with sentiment, I am selling this with sadness. The camera is a great workhorse throughout my travels and the 18-200mm lens is very versatile for this purpose providing very wide and telescopic shots in a small and light package. The camera condition comes as pictured.

It has been modified with a split-screen focusing prism which is usually found in manual film cameras to assist with manual focus - you can see this in one of the viewfinder photos attached. The camera does also feature auto-focusing for compatible K mount lenses. As with the Pentax system, you will find huge backwards compatiblily with their K mount lenses pre-dating digital and also M42 lenses (adapter required) dating back to the 1950s.

You will find the usual wear and tear on the camera body and I have tried to present this the best I can, please note there is a faint hairline scratch on the lower screen that can only be visible in certain angles.

The camera takes AA batteries which is convenient for travel.

Please note that due to age, the camera is temperamental sometimes complaining the battery is depleted. When turning off and on again, then pressing preview it seems to kick back into life when trying to focus again.

The Sigma lens is in full working condition. The aperture blades is responsive, the focus and zoom ring operate smoothly in their entire range. The glass itself is scratch and fungus free, it has been protected by a skylight filter almost since purchase.
