Rare Doulton Lambeth Whitbread’s Bottled Ale and Stout Stoneware Menu Holder.

These rarely come up and when they do they are normally the later ones with the rounded corners.

This is the earlier larger rectangular one with squared corners.

Made by Doulton Lambeth and fully stamped to the base.

Late Victorian.

Brown plaques to both sides that read:

WHITBREAD’S

BOTTLED

ALE & STOUT

The colour of the main body of the piece is Royal blue and the plaques are a rich tan brown.

Only Issue is that it has had a corner off on one side. This however is very hard to spot as it has been reattached so well. I’ve included lots of pictures on of this and you can see how hard it is to spot.

Aside from this it is in fantastic order with no other issues. Fab writing, really good colour and casting.

Please take a look at the photos as they do form an integral part of the description.
