-The " Poestenkill" came from an oil painting by American artist Joseph H. Hidley in 1870. Hidley worked in Poestenkill, New York, as a house painter, a handyman, an artist, and served as sexton of the Evangelical Lutheran Church. He painted a series of townscapes of Poestenkill and the surrounding villages, applying an aerial view and incorporating clearly defined, recognizable buildings in his compositions. Here, the aforementioned church, next to which Hidley lived, is the most prominent structure.
-Our design philosophy: Oldtimeworkshop is dedicated to bringing classic and remarkable works of art into our daily life. We have been collecting beautiful vintage items and now we are starting to design and produce our own art silk scarves. We apply different art elements to high-quality silk scarves. Quality and your satisfaction are our top priorities. We choose 100% high-quality 16mm and 19mm weight mulberry silk.
- Our first season products are inspired by the great works of art from medieval Europe to 19th century America. We have tried to keep these pieces in their original form unless there are obvious flaws or damaged physical materials. We make small scarves with 16mm silk charmeuse and large scarves with 19mm silk charmeuse to match the texture of the artwork. You'll feel all the lovely characteristics of silk glamour: the sheen and the drape
