Teddy Bear 1951 REPLICA BLOND is a classic, highly expressive addition made by Steiff. It is much rarer than a counterpart Caramel coloured bear.


When in 1902 Richard Steiff, a nephew of company founder Margarete Steiff, created the teddy bear nobody could foresee what the future would one day have in store for this Steiff animal.


In a very short time it became the childrens favourite toy all over the world.

Over the years the look of the bears has changed.


Around 1950 a completely new bear pattern was developed at the Steiff company. Short straight arns and legs determined the new look.


At that time between 1917 and 1953 white tags were sewn onto all Steiff products, with "made in US zone. One of the first teddy bears from the new pattern is this 1951 teddy bear.


1951 TEDDY BEAR BLOND 50 was made

in a limited edition of 4,000 pieces. This bear is number 2355.


In keeping with the original 1951 model, this teddy bear is produced from real mohair. His nose and claws are both hand stitched employing careful hand workmanship.


He is 5-way jointed, stuffed with excelsior wood shavings and comes with a big growl!
