For decades snoring was treated with very expensive, custom made mandibular repositioning devices (MRD’s). Then PureSleep was invented by Dr. Fenton, DDS and Dr. Kramer, MD, an ear, nose and throat specialist. Dr. Fenton remarked that “Many of my patients were unable or unwilling to pay thousands of dollars for a custom-made snoring mouthpiece - so we invented PureSleep.” PureSleep’s patented, adaptable design dramatically reduced the cost of an MRD, and well over a million PureSleep mouthpieces have been sold per dentist prescription. Then in 2019 the FDA granted over -the-counter (OTC) clearance to PureSleep which means you can now, finally, solve your snoring conveniently and affordably. Some other snoring mouthpieces are adjustable but bulky. Others aren’t as bulky but can’t adapt to different bite types. PureSleep’s patented design gives you the best of both. PureSleep uses a technique called ‘mandibular repositioning’ whereby the device gently holds your lower jaw forward, opening the upper airway and eliminating the vibrations that cause snoring. Throat sprays, special pillows and opening your nostrils (either by using nose strips or sticking little “baskets or clips” into your nostrils) may seem like a convenient solution for snoring, but they don’t work, according to research done by the United States Air Force (“Popular Snore Aids: Do they work?”, Capt. Peter Michaelson and Col. Eric Mair, Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, June, 2004). In contrast, mouthpieces that use mandibular repositioning, such as PureSleep, have been shown to work in numerous clinical studies by reputable research institutions worldwide (“Does an oral appliance reduce palatal flutter and tongue base snoring?”, Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, May, 2007). Fitting PureSleep is quick and easy. Just immerse the device in boiling water and mold it to the shape of your mouth. We include a step-by-step Instruction Guide in your PureSleep kit.
