Vintage Abbess Architects Plan Drawers. Handmade (believed to be 1950s). Abbess stamp visible on two of the drawers and also labelled on carcass.

Solid wood drawers fronts and frame - believed to be oak (veneered plywood top and plywood drawer bases).

Beautifully made with dove tail joints. Carcass requires some restoration to bring back to its former glory.

One key is included which works for the LHS top drawer only. The key for the RHS top drawer is missing, although the lock is in the open position so this does not affect the operation of the drawer (it just cannot be locked).

Please see below list of elements which require attention/restoration:

1. The top of the unit has six holes, which have presumably been made in the past to secure a unit of some description on top. This does not affect the operation and in my opinion it adds to the character, although some may prefer to repair or fill the holes (see photos).

2. The second from bottom drawer rear stop is missing resulting in the drawer being able to push past being flush with frame. The drawer runners are also partially missing and require repair (see photos).

3. The bottom drawer does not close fully and appears to be catching on a cross member. This should just be a case of sanding or planing down of the cross member to allow the drawer to fully close (see photos).

4. Some of the varnish is scratched and worn off as to be expected with the age.
