Gibson J-45 Standard Vintage Sunburst 2018 Electro Acoustic Guitar

Here for sale we have a Gibson J-45 Standard Electro Acoustic Guitar from 2018 in Vintage Sunburst finish. Made in the USA, this guitar features a Solid Sitka Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, a Mahogany neck, and a 20-fret Rosewood fingerboard. Other appointments include Grover tuners, mother-of-pearl inlays, and an LR Baggs Element VTC system with controls for the volume and tone.

Nicknamed ‘The Workhorse’ the J-45 has long been favoured by singer-songwriters for its full, balanced expression, warm bass and excellent projection. The Mahogany neck sits comfortably in the hand, with the ‘Slim Taper’ profile providing ergonomic thumb positioning in all registers allowing for easy navigation up and down the neck. The Rosewood fretboard feels pleasant under the fingers and provides a smooth surface for the user to explore, along with the 12” radius making bending and vibrato techniques a breeze. The dreadnought design fills the arms, providing a dynamic and responsive playing experience, making the user feel the resonance that this guitar produces.

This guitar has a well-balanced and dynamic tone, producing a warm and rich sound, with a strong and clear midrange. The Solid Sitka Spruce top and scalloped top bracing contribute to the guitar's excellent projection and sustain, producing a bright and crisp high end that is well-articulated, whilst the Mahogany back and sides offer a warm and deep low end that make chords hum and chime. The L.R. Baggs VTC system allows the instrument's voice to be captured organically, displaying the natural voice of this guitar beautifully through an amplifier.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a chip to the clear coat below the logo. This is only visible under direct lighting at certain angles. The top bass side corner demonstrates a small chip to the finish, revealing the wood beneath.

Neck: Overall very good condition, light indentation is apparent to the rear of the neck in the middle register. This can only slightly be felt under the thumb in playing position. Some very small white dots are apparent to the rear. It is difficult to discern any markings on the fingerboard.

Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a moderate indentation to the centre of the lower bout. All aspects of the body demonstrate very light scratching, visible only under direct lighting at certain angles.

Condition of Frets:

The frets demonstrate very light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. `

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (5/16" socket) not included.
