About the Artist:
Koort Jirda lives in Fremantle and loves to create her art on the weekend. She loves depicting animals and landscape scene in her local area. Koort first started painting when she was 9 years old and it was evident to her family that she enjoyed the process and practice of creation. However, it was not until after leaving her employment in 2019, that the gift of art came to Koort as an expression of healing; giving her a voice, meaning and connection to the land, her culture, her family and her ancestors.
Each piece is painstakingly hand crafted to convey her authentic creativity. All proceeds go to the artist.
