Tipp & Co 1930s clockwork boat-tailed Grand Prix racing car

This is a very rare and beautiful litho-printed pre-war tinplate car. Philipp Ullmann previously of the German toy maker Tipp & Co (Tippco) began manufacturing toys in England in 1933. He formed the Mettoy company which in 1956 became Corgi Toys. This toy was made in England in the early 1930s but attributed to Tipp & Co. It is almost identical to the German made Tippco racing car no. 822 but doesn't have the TCO logo and clearly states "MADE IN ENGLAND".

Working clockwork motor with fixed key. Length approximately 26cm

Buy with confidence. The car will be packaged very carefully with plenty of protection
