19.5cm high

A rare ‘Dragons Eye’ black pottery vessel, Han Dynasty (206BC-220AD). Burnished finish, decorated with two large swirls to either side. With incised lines visible where the think burnished layer of clay has fallen off, rather than as decoration. (This almost gives a look of restoration to areas) Some encrustation still present. Discolourations and marks. Broken area to the mouth with a piece missing and one piece reglued. Areas worn on the surface, please see the photos carefully.
