You are bidding on a shave ready reconditioned Joseph Rodgers Sheffield. England straight razor.Joseph Rodgers is considered the premier Sheffield cutler before WW II.
It is called the Hamburg Ring. 5/ 8ths,single shoulder, made between 1901-1910, square tip. Used one piece black electrical tape to set bevel. This is a very elegant, nice shaver with a very little spine wear. . In the late 19th century when the hollow grind was replacing the wedge, the thinnest hollow grinds came from Hamburg, Germany They supposedly would sing or ring when you shaved with them. So the word Hamburg and singing or ringing often appeared even on Sheffield made razors.

Razor is fully reconditioned, pins tightened, scales polished with Flitz. The bevel was reset on a translucent Arkansas stone, then a Belgian coticule for the middle finish and finally a Suehiro 10k finish stone for the final edge. I then test by shaving. Then sterilize. Spot on show side at heel is magic marker from setting the bevel, not rust.
