For sale from a personal collection is gorgeous and flamboyant Montegrappa Extra 1930 in mesmerising Mediterranean Blue celluloid. The material the pen is made of is simply breathtaking - it looks like a swirling wave with colours ranging from bright turquoise to deep blue. All the metal appointments on this pen are made of sterling silver (there are hallmarks to that effect on both cap band and barrel) which makes it a rather substantial pen that is very comfortable to hold.
The pen is equipped with a large number 8 size 18K rhodium plated nib in Stub that has been tuned to perfection by John Sorowka. An absolute pleasure to write with, full of character. This Montegrappa is a piston filler (ratcheting type) so bottled ink is the only option.
The pen is in excellent, near mint, condition with nothing to report (no cracks, splits, dents or scratches) and comes in a large wooden box, complete with papers and a bottle of Montegrappa Blue ink.
