Bussler Miniatures, founded in 1948 by Ralph G. Bussler in Wollaston, Massachusetts, was for many years the primary source for military miniature figures in the United States until being displaced in the 1970's by the works of more sophisticated manufacturers. In the post-WWII era these were the standard for individual figures as well as the basis for many museum and battlefield dioramas created around that time.

This piece is from the collection of well known USMC military artist, painter, and wargamer Darrell Combs.
