Here is a stunning 1960 Selmer MKVI alto #84k in mint condition. The dark honey lacquer is all original and 99% remaining. As you can see in the pictures, the bell, bow, keys, and body are all in beautiful condition. The horn has never had any past damage or repair work whatsoever, and the original case is also in beautiful shape, and clasps close perfectly.

The pads are all original and in good contain, and the horn plays really really great even on the original pads. It is a killer horn, and plays with a bright, powerful, responsive, and vibrant sound. It definitely has a classic mkvi centred vibe, but with a touch of spread giving it great flexibility.

It has only very minor signs of use on the octave key, thumb rest, and on the odd touch piece and a bit of paint around the S on the neck. The neck angle is perfect as you can see in the pictures. This is a unique opportunity to own a beautiful MKVI alto from the golden era of the MKVI production. Note this is one of the desirable “medium bow” mkvi altos.

Please do drop me a message if you have any questions about the horn!
