Teisco Futurama Fiesta Red 1960/70s Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a Teisco Futurama Electric Guitar from the 1960s/70s in Fiesta Red finish. Made in Japan over 50 years ago, the specifications for this particular guitar are quite hard to come by. The fingerboard appears to be Rosewood, along with open-gear tuners, an adjustable vintage bridge, and two original Gold Foil single coil pickups. The pickups are wired to two 'light switch-style' pickup on/off switches, two volume controls and a master tone control.

The neck of this guitar is quite possibly one of the chunkier necks we have ever seen in the shop. It feels very much like a 'Deep U' shape, filling the hand completely when playing, yet feeling completely comfortable at the same time. The flat fingerboard radius is very much of this guitar's time, and provides a very even surface to play on.

One of the most interesting features of this guitar is that it comes with two original gold foil single coil pickups. These pickups definitely hold their own unique character, with sparkling highs and a beautiful amount of clarity. It is worth mentioning that, due to the age of the pickups, the response of the lowest E string is slightly quieter than the other strings and this would require further investigation. The controls for the pickups are quirky and fun, allowing the player to experiment with all of the tones that this guitar can offer.
