The unit powers on, however does not seem to be able to tune into stations, instead outputting radio static (which is output at a low volume even when the slider is at maximum). The foam pad on the rear of the battery hatch has disintegrated with age, but this has not affected the battery terminals, which appear free from corrosion (see photo).
