This was a rescue project of mine from a few years ago. Original 1/24 Strombecker Scarab front-engine race car kits are quite rare.
Some specifics:
I modified the damaged underbody and affixed resin cast (highly detailed) Halibrand wheel/tire sets.
The driver, steering wheel and hand-shaped windshield are my own additions.
I did not attempt to repair body defects or missing headlight covers.
This model will not win any contests but is a very appealing shelf model of a very hard-to-find model.
