David Griffin dresses of the era were marketed at high end department stores as Bergdorf Goodman and Nieman Marcus. (The only designer of the era with this name I could find is a David Griffin who is known as an assistant costume designer for Sophie's Choice (1982), The Elephant Man (1982) and The Country Girl (1982) which were nominated for Academy Awards. )

The dress is made of linen type or a linen blend with the fitted bodice in a fabric creme with an abstract polka dot navy print while the skirt is opposite navy with white polka dots. It has a fitted bodice with princess seams, short sleeves shoulder pads, dropped waist with pleated insets and two blind cut pockets . Wide neckline and dropped waist edged in navy cordage, mid back zip and hook for closure. Full stitched in lining creme in bodice navy in skirt.

Perfect day dress for career events, luncheons, meetings and day special occasions.

Measurements in item specifics. Fits well on size 4 to 6 USA mannequin which is the modern range.

Condition Authentic vintage wrinkled from storage No stain or rips ~only concern zipper is light weight works but if pulled to the end is difficult to raise better if left a couple of inches above edge. Can use a good professional dry cleaning pressing out.
