This listing is for a 1 cup of extremely healthy, green Clean Chaeto algae for your reef tank (saltwater only). This is an absolute must when it comes to running a sump or refugium and will assist with absorption of excess phosphate/nitrate levels. Not only can it be useful for reduction of excess nutrients but is a great home for any copepods or amphipods that live in the sump/refugium. With the correct grow light and nutrients, chaeto should have consistent growth (times will vary).

Our Chaeto is NOT grown with coral or a sand bed and is housed inside our facility within an isolated/temperature controlled and HEPA air filtered system that only contains fish/snails/crabs/copepods. We do not have red worms/aiptasia/bristle worms or other nuisance pests.

*** Chaeto Algae is extremely resilient during shipping but if your chaeto appears to be dead on arrival (DOA), please contact us and provide a photo of the chaeto, along with original packaging WITHIN 4 HOURS of delivery ***

At times, chaeto may arrive slightly stressed (deflated below initial measured amount), but after being reintroduced to the marine environment, it should bounce back to normal within a couple days. If the chaeto does not form back to a healthy state, please reach out to us for assistance. 72 hours must pass before considering the chaeto to be DOA.

*** Please understand that if you purchase a quantity of more than 1, we cut the Chaeto out as one portion. EXAMPLE: Qty 3 you will receive 1 package containing 3 orders of Chaeto. If you would like it separated please let us know and we can package them individually, otherwise, you will receive one sealed package of the amount you ordered ***
