THE 1951 SCIENCE FICTION CLASSIC
Today's science fiction extravaganzas all pay tribute to this pioneering classic from producer George Pal (War of the Worlds), which won an Oscar for its spectacular special effects. It has been an inspiration to all the science fiction movies that have followed.
An impending collision with a runaway star signals the destruction of Earth. The government refuses to listen to scientists, but private industrialists finance the building of a space ship, which will carry a limited number of people to another planet to begin a new civilization. As doomsday approaches, they race against time and the panic of those who will be left behind. The potential pulverizing impact of the collision, the massive tidal waves and devastating earthquakes, and the final cosmic smashup make a chilling panorama of disaster. The balance between human and planetary drama is excellently maintained as the movie builds to its fascinating unforgettable climax.
CONDITION -
Case, cassette shell and tape are in good used condition. The inlay has small sticker remnants and a little sticker residue at the top of the spine (please see all pictures above for more details)
- Cover, case and labels are as seen in the pictures above (actual items on offer always shown)
- Vast majority of artwork and cases will be VG or better, but a few may have minor wear or the odd small corner chip etc. so please study all pictures closely.
- Any major damage or problems will be fully addressed in the item description.
- All used tapes rewound before dispatch
- All used/unsealed tapes played fine when last watched and are tested by fast-forwarding, stopping and pressing play about every 10 mins and watching for about 2 minutes, then repeating the process until the end of the tape. As I have a couple of hundred to list, I don't have the time to sit and watch each one from from start to finish!
- Finally, please remember that these are vintage VHS videos and the picture quality will likely not be quite as good as a modern DVD or blu-ray (amazing that you have to actually tell people this, but you'd be surprised ....!)

UK - £3.95 Royal Mail 2nd Class or £4.60 Royal Mail 1st Class, small parcel (both include small Mail Home Collection fee). 'Signed For' is an extra £1.10 for either service.
Please note that I can send up to six videos for £3.95, so if buying more than one item, please wait for my combined invoice before paying. If you go ahead and pay without a combined invoice, I will not be able to refund you the excess in full, as ebay automatically take their commission as soon as the item is paid for and you cannot get that back, sadly!

If you live anywhere else then your parcel MUST be insured, the cost of which is to be covered by the buyer. Very sorry, but NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule.
If you live in a country that I am prepared to send by regular, uninsured mail please bear in mind that I always get a receipt and proof of posting for every item sent, but THERE WILL NOT BE A TRACKING NUMBER UNLESS YOU HAVE PAID FOR INSURED/TRACKED MAIL. Should an item take longer than expected to arrive, I will do everything I can to help, but please don't assume that there is a tracking number! Most overseas buyers seem to assume this, for some reason! If you want the item to be tracked, please choose the 'International Signed For' option at checkout - thanks!
Finally, please note that if your item (or if the combined values of the items in a single parcel) is £20.00 or above, then insurance is compulsory wherever you live. This is an extra £1.10 for 'Signed For' in the UK (up to the value of £50, after which extra cover will need to be paid for by the buyer) or an extra £5.30 for overseas buyers to cover 'International Signed For'.
