The following phones and tablets are not compatible to pair with your Echo Auto and connect to Alexa through the Alexa app:

  • Android phones and tablets running Android OS version 7 or lower
  • Apple phones (iPhones) and tablets (iPads) running iOS version 7 or lower
  • Xiaomi phones running Android OS version 12 or higher
  • Xiaomi Redmi Note 10
  • Sony Xperia 10 III
  • Asus phones running Android OS version 12 or higher
  • OnePlus phones running Android OS version 12 or higher
 
  • Oppo phones running Android OS version 12 or higher
  • Realme phones running Android OS version 12 or higher
  • Motorola Moto G30
  • Motorola Moto G Pro
  • Vivo iQOO Z5
  • Fire tablets

Please note OnePlus phones have battery saving customisations that shut down apps to conserve power. OnePlus users should try the following steps on their phone to prevent the Alexa app from being shut down:

  1. Check if battery optimisation is turned off for Alexa app.
    Go to phone settings > Battery > Battery Optimisation > Amazon Alexa > Don't optimise > Done.
  2. Try pinning the Alexa app in memory.
    Go to ‘multitasking’ and then tap on the lock icon for the Alexa app
