In depth piece’s provenance:

I started collecting Swarovski Silver Crystal figurines at the turn of my twenties in the mid 90’s.

I took collecting them very seriously from the get go and I soon became a member of the Swarovski Crystal Society.

I constantly purchased new pieces, the ones which were about to be retired and those already discontinued.

I was so meticulous about the conditions of the pieces in my collection, that I became known for always checking each piece and reject the one even with a noticeable shadow of glue between the component of a piece and many times, I would look at several example of the same piece to select the one I thought was the best and trust me, there was always a choice to be made; symmetry of the attachment of same details like harms, legs, paws, fins, alignment of eyes or ears, mostly if either side of the head, like a fish, a bird, or a horse, prospective side to side and from above and if the parts were centred, like buttons, windows, back fin, nose.

Even the box had to be in perfect conditions and the outer box.

Swarovski became the go to present for friends and family, mostly my father, who at Christmas would arrive with 10/15 pieces which would be retired at the end of the year.

By 2012, when I became a father I had a collection of over 450 pieces in various display cabinets, all arranged by themes.

They were never handled, as the cabinets were in purpose air tight and only when a new piece needed to be placed in a particular place, to be part of an existing theme, they may were repositioned, but always and only with Swarovski‘s white gloves.

With the arrival of my son, I had to make space for all that was necessary and all those imposing wooden cabinets full of crystal weren’t really the environment for a toddler.

All the Swarovski were carefully packed in their own boxes, or tubs, boxed and stored in a temperature controlled storage facility.

Ten years on, I’ve only kept collecting the Annual Christmas Star and I’ve come to the realisation, maybe because of the passing of my father due to COVID on Christmas Day of 2020, that it is a different life now and I won’t ever have all those pieces displayed as before and after selecting the ones most dear to me and some special ones to keep, which are now on various shelves, behind glass doors in the bookcase, I will be listing all of the rest for sale as they deserve to be displayed and admired and to find a new home.

Specifics:

All pieces are in mint conditions, with original box and outer box also in mint conditions and certificate and some even with the guarantee card given. Few outer boxes, have the lip which secures the top to the front panel, maybe with the layers which is made of, slyly separating, which is an inevitability of time, having being softened at the time when they were opened and closed several times in the shops.

Pictures shows the piece which you will receive and all the relevant box, outer box, or tub, the certificate and where present, guarantee, and/or informative booklet/sleeve, for you to confirm the impeccable conditions they are being offered to you.

The large mirrors used in the pictures, are for photographic purpose only and they are not included with the piece.
