Up for auction are a pair (2) of
Adorable Vintage Open Mouth Frogs with "The Large Sailing Ship of the World" design/motif in excellent condition. These Vintage ceramic frogs were made by Herrandiz and Made in Spain (see photo of bottom). There are No chips, cracks, or any markings at all, in like new condition.
Each Open Mouth Frog has different Sailing ship design (see photos); one has New York, San Francisco Ship (Built in 1869), the other has England, Australia Ship (built in Bath 1884). Purchased from Estate sale...
These frogs were part of a Spanish Design Line by Herrandiz, they made other ceramic pieces with the same Sailing Ship of the World design (see other eBay items), for example, mugs, dishes, tea sets, etc... I assume this was a line at some point mid-century... Hopefully there are collectors out there interested in these frogs???
Both frogs came with Ivory plastic appetizer forks (not sure if they were originally designed to hold these forks)...
Each frog measures around 4in tall, 3in deep, and 2.5in wide... They will packed in bubble wrap securely in small package.
