I’m guessing this is either a blacksmiths tool roll or some

Sort of a cavalry satchel.

It bears a very indistinct stamp which I have tried my best to enhance which says Army and Navy co operative society 105 Victoria st Westminster which would date it pre 1934

It is in remarkable condition for the age - the leather shows some cracking and the loop at the top which holds the strap has thrown a couple Of stitches and I think the fixings are missing from the rectangular pockets at the very base of roll.

Apart from that it is a very handsome piece and I think a rare survivor.

Rolled up - 36x26cm.

Opened out - 80x36cm
