This antique day or night telescope from Haggar & Bro . This telescope at its smallest stage is 21 " . Fully extended it measures 41 ¾". At the large end it measures 2½"  . On the eyepiece it measures 1½" . The scope has some small dents and dings as it should for being as old as it is . The only thing missing is like a 16th of an inch brass pin on the lens cover for the big end of the telescope . If you look at the eyepiece where the slide opens you'll see a small brass pin that fits into a notch on the large end it's missing that pin .

This telescope works really well I was really surprised to look over the valley and be able to see clearly . This eyeglass is over 170 years old . This had to be state-of-the-art technology for whoever was using this .

Hager & bro is a very old Baltimore company . They use this logo Hager and bro from 1842 to 1861 . This piece very well could have been used in the civil war . I'm not saying that it was but it could have been .

Thank you for looking
