Original 12-page (including cover) English language brochure for the Morris 1100. The Morris 1100 was the first of BMC's ADO16 range of cars to be launched in August 1962. It was subsequently followed by MG, Austin, Vanden Plas, Riley and Wolseley badged versions. In March 1966, estate car versions of the Morris and Austin 1100s were introduced (known respectively as the Morris 1100 Traveller and Austin 1100 Countryman). In the autumn of 1967, revised 1100 Mk. II models were introduced together with the larger-engined 1300. Hugely popular in the UK during the 1960s and even into the early '70s, the final ADO16 models (just Austin and Vanden Plas versions by this time) were made in 1974. The ADO16 was replaced by the Austin Allegro, introduced in 1973, and to a lesser extent by the Morris Marina which replaced the Morris 1100/1300 in Morris dealerships in 1971 (though the Morris 1300 Traveller continued on sale until autumn 1972 and the introduction of the Marina Estate). This brochure covers the Mk. 1 Morris 1100 following the introduction of the Traveller version in March 1966.
