RARE! New York Toy Fair PROTOTYPE AND Pre Production Sample- Hard Hat Fred- The Flintstones - action Figure from Mattel, 1993.
This item is from my personal collection of Mattel Prototypes that I collected and saved during my time as a toy designer at Mattel in the 90's. Item has been boxed and stored since then and has never been displayed since New York Toy Fair 1992/93. It comes from a smoke & pet free home. This auction is for the hand painted RESIN Casting sample of the Hard Hat Fred action figure with accessories That was displayed at New York Toy Fair and other events. I am also including a complete Pre Production Sample (Includes accessories)-It makes for a nice set. There is no packaging for either item.
The Quality of this Prototype/Sample is in very good condition and the fact that it survived New York Toy Fair in this condition is a miracle-as they usually come back broken, scratched with pieces missing. Prototype shows minimal wear.
