Description
Rare Beautiful Original Antique Heavy Window Sash with Bullseye Amber Glass Panes measures approximately 20" x 25-1/2" 1-11/16". The sash is constructed of solid wood panels connected with mortise and tenon joints, and designed to hold twelve individual panes of glass, each measuring approximately 4-7/8" x 5". Eleven of the twelve original bullseye amber glass window panes remain in the sash secured in the molded framing bars with the old glazing putty.
The Rare Beautiful Original Antique Heavy Window Sash with Bullseye Amber Glass Panes is in Very Good Condition for its Considerable Age, and as noted above. Also noted for accuracy only is very minor chipping and/or discoloration on the panels, and some aging of the wood and glazing from over one hundred years of past use and storage. While unnecessary in view of the as is beauty of the old window, the missing bullseye glass pane might be replaced or substituted with another type of clear or stained glass, if desired. Please see accompanying photographs showing daylight through the panes highlighting the bullseye detail and amber color, some of which may appear darker due to the placement of the window against a wood and glass background prior to photographing, or lighter due to camera flash.
