Vintage carved Akuaba fertility doll, origins of which can be traced bac to the Ashanti tribe of Ghana, Africa. These ritual dolls represent fertility used by young girls preparing for motherhood. The statue is made of wood and stands Approx 8", 20cm tall and 4", 10cm wide. It is in pre-owned good condition with Metal hook at the back for hanging. A unique representation of the tribes cultural and spiritual beliefs.
