This product is an antique decorative wooden spool/thread dispenser. It is designed to hold general sewing thread spools and comes in a brown color. The dispenser is made of wood and is an original antique piece. It is a collectible item and falls under the Sewing (1930-Now) category, but I believe it may be older, as it belonged to my Grandma, and she would be 123 years old, if she were alive! It is in very good condition for its age. The different spools of thread fit inside the wooden case, and can be strung through the metal holes on the side to pull out for use. 8 sides, marked B, 20, 30, 40, 50, 70 & 80, and the decorative piece that would say 60 is missing, as shown in photo. There is also a piece of wood missing between 50 & 60, 30 & B and 20 & 30, also shown in a photo. The fabric lid appears to be worn velvet, but no holes. I don’t know if there used to be another piece at the top of the lid, but it looks like there might have been. The entire top holding thread spins and comes completely off the metal rod.
