This is an original vintage 1936 Texas Centennial Exposition newspaper clippings scrapbook. The book features stunning newspaper articles and pictures of the Dallas Fair and Exposition, held in 1936 to celebrate the centennial of the state of Texas. It measures 12 3/4” by 10 1/8” by 2”. Unfortunately this scrapbook has loose brittle pages that are literally crumbling and flaking away. There are about 75 pages with newspaper clippings front and back. All of the newspaper clippings and brochures are glued in. Newspapers are yellowed or turned brown with age. It’s still a unique assortment of information regarding every aspect of the planning and building of Fair Park leading up to the Exposition and including interesting details about the Fair itself. It spans from 1935-1937. This item is sold As Is. Please view the other Texas Centennial items that we have listed. Multiple items may be combined for shipping. Thanks for looking!
