Chest is across pit 2 pit measurement, length is from top of collar to the bottom hem, sleeve is outer sleeve length, shoulder is from the shoulder point across just like chest. This jacket is this uncommon version of the M1941 field jacket. This extended length cut version is often referred to as the “Arctic” version these were notably used in Alaska and the Aleutian Islands as well as in the ETO (in small numbers). M41 olive drab cold weather field jacket lengthened to cover the hips, made from heavier cotton twill and the same lining as Tankers and Mackinaw coats. The shell is 100% cotton twill, and the inside lining is heavy, mustard brown 70/30 wool. This jacket feature great epaulets, a Bi-Swing back detailing, and adjustable waist tabs. A front Conmar zipper closure with a buttoned storm flap. Buttons at the collar for closing the lapels to warm the neck region. And lastly two front slash pockets. Flaws are shown in photos.
