This auction is for a Vintage 1939 Leica 1 Standard DRP 35mm Camera & Leitz Elmar f=5cm 1:3.5 Lens.  This Leica 1 Standard Camera was made in Germany in 1939 (according to the Serial Number) and had a batch size of 500.  It is in remarkably good cosmetic condition showing light wear...very few light scratches and scuffs.  The camera seems to work fine...the film advance rotates to cock the shutter and the shutter fires the speeds set on the shutter speed dial.  Note you lift up on the shutter speed dial to set the speed.  The Leitz Elmar 5cmm lens is in very good condition showing light normal wear.  The lens extends outward and rotates clockwise to set and rotates counterclockwise to collapse or slide into the body.   The lens aperture opens and closes properly and the aperture blades are dry (no oil).  The glass lens elements are clean and clear with no fuzz.  There was a roll of Kodak Panchromatic Plus film in the camera that appears to have been shot and rewound.  This is a great collector camera that seems to work fine but it has not been film tested.  It comes with a lens hood and lens cap.  Thanks for your interest and email if you have any questions.
