The Yamaha GT-2000X is a highly acclaimed direct-drive turntable introduced in 1985 during the golden age of Japanese audiophiles. A limited edition model of Yamaha's iconic GT-2000 turntable, the GT-2000X delivers outstanding performance thanks to its robust and unwavering construction. 5.8 kg of ultra-pure die-cast aluminum oversized platter provides extremely stable inertial rotation and extremely accurate The GT-2000X features a 4-phase, 8-pole coreless direct-drive DC Hall motor and bi-directional quartz PLL feedback system. In addition to its playback performance, the GT-2000 is aesthetically pleasing. The chassis has been upgraded compared to the GT-2000. The YSA-1 gimbal-supported straight arm is standard equipment for the tone arm. The GT-2000X comes standard with the YAL-1 auto-lifter, optional on the GT-2000. the GT-2000X weighs a whopping 34 kg. All in all, this is an extraordinary vintage turntable and very rare due to its limited production run.

This unit is in very good condition, with general wear throughout, including some scratches and scuffs (please see photos). **
Paint lifting is visible on the surface of YSA-1. There is a possibility of corrosion action, but there is no problem at present (please see photos). **The previous owner has covered the audio cable with several layers of insulation tape. The adhesive component in it has dissolved (please see photos). Furthermore, it has been thoroughly checked and tested by our professional technician, confirming its flawless operation. The 33 and 45 settings both work perfectly, and the platter rotation is like clockwork, as expected from Yamaha products of this era, which were built for a lifetime of operation.
