You are bidding on a nice big one photo from 1888.

Motive:"Memminger Hut. August 1888."

The refuge is in the center of the picture (in the Lechtal Alps, Tyrol). only very small to see.

The mountain peak in the background is inscribed "Edelreuterspitze" (this name is not verifiable for me, however).

Original print of the time (vintage).

Format: cardboard 16.8 x 22.3 cm; Photo 5.8" x 8".

Condition:Very strong cardboard stained, photo with small scratches. BPlease note also the pictures!

About the Memminger Hütte (source: wikipedia):

The Memmingen Hut is a Category I refuge of the Memmingen Section of the German Alpine Club in the Lechtal Alps, Tyrol, Austria.

Location: The Memminger Hütte is located at 2242 m above sea level. A. at the lower Seewisee. Nearby are the middle and the upper Seewisee, ½ hour from the hut.

from Bach via Madau to the car park at around 1450 m below the hut (reachable only by scheduled taxi), from Bach 5.5 hours, from the car park 2 hours

Neighboring huts and crossings: To the Ansbacher Hütte via the Grießscharte and the Winterjoch in 5½ hours. Rope insurance on the ascent from the Grießscharte, which can become uncomfortable when it is icy. Inexperienced hikers should only walk the trail when accompanied by experienced mountain hikers or guides.

To the Augsburger Hütte via the Spiehlerweg in 5 hours. First past the Seewiseen to the Wegscharte, over the Parseierjoch, the lowest part of the central ridge (cable insurance) and further over the remains of the Patrolferner to the steep crags of the Patrolscharte. Over the Schrofen, long passages secured with ropes, to the Patrolscharte. From here on good trails either directly through the Gasill Gorge or - recommended - over the Gatschkopf to the Augsburger Hütte. In the wet, fresh snow or ice, the ascent to the Patrolscharte can be difficult. Inexperienced hikers – even in good conditions – are strongly recommended to be accompanied by experienced mountain hikers or a guide.

To the Württemberger Haus in 4½ hours via Seescharte, Großbergkopf and -spitze. In the Schrofen on the descent from the Großbergspitze short rope insurance.

To the Hanauer Hütte via Oberlahmsjöchl, Streichgampenjöchl, Alblitjöchl, Mintschejöchl, Vorderes Gufeljöchl and Gufelseejöchl in 8 hours.

European long-distance hiking trail E5: The European long-distance hiking trail E5 from Lake Constance to the Adriatic Sea leads from the Lech Valley via the Memminger Hütte and the Seescharte and the Zammer Loch to Zams.

Seeköpfle, 2562 m, marked trail, ¾ hour.

Oberlahmsspitze, 2658 m, 2 hours, climbing difficulty level I+, climbing tracks, the ascent is described as impassable after storms.

Seekopf: Hinterer 2718 m, Mittlerer 2702 m and Vorderer Seekopf 2685 m. We recommend a tour from the Wegscharte on the old remains of a climb via the Hinterer to the Mittlerer to the Vorderer Seekopf, from there back to the Mittlerer and directly via the northeast ridge down to the Oberer Seewisee. including Descent about 3 to 4 hours, climbing grade I+, mostly walking terrain.

Parseierspitze, 3036 m, via the Spiehlerweg south to the Patrolscharte and then via the east ridge or via the northern edge of the Grinnerferner, a good 6 hours.

Ascent to the hut: on the summer trail – like all tours in the central Lechtal Alps, only recommended in very avalanche-proof conditions.
