TWO (2) "WAR TAX" COVERS - 1916 & 1917 - UNITRADE # MR4 - DIFFERENT SHADES --

1. -- NOV. 1916 -- UNITRADE # MR4 -- HALIFAX, NOVA SCOTIA to SYDNEY MINES, NOVA SCOTIA.

This Cover is in Good+ Condition -- some small imperfections and some handling wear. The envelope has been opened fairly neatly (frayed & rolled) along the top edge. Toning and some soiling. Some bumps in the handling resulting in light corner/edge wear & rounding -- and -- some light bends.

2. -- FEB. 1917 -- UNITRADE # MR4 -- LONDON, ONTARIO to to SYRACUSE, NEW YORK, U.S.A.

This Cover is in Good+ Condition -- some small imperfections and some handling wear. The envelope has been cut open along the top edge -- resulting in a slight cover reduction. Toning and some soiling. Some bumps in the handling resulting in corner/edge wear & rounding -- and -- some light bends. Also -- there's several bends/creases on the right edge/side -- and the back flap's right tip.
