PRS Tremonti SE Gloss Black 2007 Electric Guitar

Here for sale we have a PRS Tremonti SE in Gloss Black finish. Made in Korea in 2007, this guitar features a set-neck construction and comprises a Mahogany body with a Maple top, Mahogany neck and 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard. This guitar is fitted with Chrome hardware including PRS Compensated wraparound hardtail bridge, the tuning machines have been replaced with a set of Wilkinson sealed tuning machines. A pair of PRS Tremonti S open coil humbucking pickups are fitted, and are wired to a 3-way toggle switch as well as independent volume and tone controls. 

The Mahogany neck plays very well, with Tremonti's 'Wide Fat' profile filling the hand nicely whilst remaining slim enough for fast, articulate playing. The Gloss finish to the rear assists with smooth navigation of the 25" scale, whilst the single cutaway body design and customary PRS sculpted lower horn enhance access to the upper frets. The Rosewood fingerboard is pleasant under the fingers, and with its traditional PRS 10" radius provides a comfortable balance between comfortable chord playing and practicality for lead lines and string bending.

The pair of PRS Tremonti S open coil humbucking pickups installed in this guitar deliver thick and full-bodied tones, perfect for the heavy riffing and lead lines that Tremonti is known for. The neck position is round and warm, with ample power to push you to the front of the mix when soloing. The bridge position is brighter and hotter, and offers an absolutely searing rock rhythm sound with plenty of snarl and bite. The independent volume and tone controls offer comprehensive control of your sound, feeling very responsive to small changes. It's easy to see why this is one of PRS' longest standing and most popular signature models.

Aesthetic Condition

Headstock: Overall good condition, the top corners of the headstock both demonstrate notable indentation, with amateur finish repair to the bass side. Cracking of the finish is apparent to the treble side corner. All aspects of the headstock demonstrate light scratching visible under direct lighting at certain angles. 

Neck: Overall very good condition, the rear of the neck demonstrates light scratching visible only under direct lighting at certain angles. A more notable moderate scratch is apparent in the upper register, which can be slightly felt under the thumb in playing position. It is difficult to discern any markings to the fingerboard against the grain.

Body: Overall very good condition, the front face demonstrates a moderate indentation and surrounding scratching by the bass side waist. Further moderate scratching can be identified to the rear consistent with buckle rash. The edges of the body demonstrate very light indentation and light scuffing, which does not pierce the finish. 

Condition Of Frets:

The frets demonstrate light signs of use, not affecting playability. There is considerable material remaining for any fret work the new owner may wish to perform. 

Current Set Up:

Truss Rod: Fully functional. Truss rod tool (7mm socket) not included.

Hardware: Fully functional with moderate signs of wear. The original tuning machines have been replaced with a set of Wilkinson tuners. The corner of the truss rod cover has snapped. 

Structural: No concerns or issues to note.
