Hello

Thanks for viewing my Moto Guzzi.
It’s a Nevada 750 Club, which I think is the last model before going to fuel injection.
It’s has an interesting history to say the least!
From the online history, information from the previous owner and what I have discovered myself,
it seems it was poorly / laid up for quite some time. This probably accounts for the number of owners (3-4 within the same family according to the previous owner). The MOT history indicates extended periods of inactivity and a new speedo circa 3540 miles. The current mileage is 2716 (total = 6256).
I think the speedo fault may have been the speedo drive rather than the speedo itself as the front wheel shows signs of wear and repair. All working now.
Also showing signs of repair, as can be seen in one of the pictures, is the stator cover frame. I’m afraid I have to hold my hands up for this one! Upon receiving the bike, this bolt head was already broken off. While drilling it out the thin walled casting split. It just holds the plastic cover in place (not exposed to engine oil) so I repaired with epoxy, re-drilled and fitted a thread insert.
The previous owner described some issues he had experienced, namely, running well but then being unable to restart.
I thought “fuel or ignition” and sent the carbs off to be cleaned and rebuilt. While they were away I examined the none standard ignition switch and found it had not been wired correctly. I got rid of the almost impossible to reach air box and filter in favour of new pod filters from Ram-air. The carbs were re-jetted to suit the air filters. Another fault was found and fixed on the vacuum system.
The bike now runs as it should, starting hot or cold and running well, having passed its mot 30.4.24 with no advisories.
Obviously the bike no longer looks like a Nevada! Brand new tyres, handlebars, rear light and indicators transform the looks. The seat is from a Guzzi GT65 and has been altered and professionally recovered, although not the best job I have ever seen. Rear mudguard is Triumph T140. All the original bodywork is still available at extra cost.
The bike looks “like a motorbike”, oozes character in sight, sound and feel and I’m pretty sure no one would park another one like it next to you at the DGR!

Cash or bank transfer on collection. No buy it now.
Thanks.
