Marriage agreement between James Boys and Dorcas Guyon of Coggeshall England dated March 26, 1692. James Boys was the minister of the Coggeshall Parish thereafter and subsequently wrote a 10 page document in 1712 detailing his role in an addressing an alleged witch in 1699 in Coggeshall. This document has nothing to do with witchcraft but it’s somewhat interesting that we are able to find something written by James Boys, party to this marriage agreement. Dorcas Guyon, the other party to this agreement was from the prominent Guyon family of that time. This document is in excellent condition for its age.
