Vintage American Optical Original Pilot Sunglasses from 1960`s. Glass grey lenses with up to 80% UV protection, these shades were trusted by service pilots. This vintage pair of American Optical sunglasses are Authentic Vintage and differs from the modern ones. The nowadays AO Sunglasses have a manufacturer’s logo molded into the arms, and the lenses have a white etched AO.

American Optical sunglasses handpicked by NASA for astronauts. They made history as the first sunglasses to land on the moon, proudly worn by Commander Neil Armstrong.
