Vintage Stetson Black Felt Bowler Hat

Fresh from a Dallas Estate comes this vintage felt bowler derby hat by John B Stetson. This hat was sold Pantke Harpke Co Hatters in Milwaukee, WI in the 1950s. This hat is black felt with a black grosgrain ribbon hat band. The hat brim turns up on the sides. The inside lining is a soft, brown leather band. Hat markings read- "Select Quality London New York Paris American Manufacture Stetson John B. Stetson Company Philadelphia Pantke-Harpke Co. Exclusive Hatters Since 1860 Milwaukee." "Comfort John B. Stetson Company Feather Weight." "Since 1860 Pantke- Harpke Co. Exclusive Hatters Milwaukee." The hat lining is also marked, "CWH" which were the owners initials. The hat measures (across opening) 8 1/4" front to back and 6 3/8" across with a 22.5" circumference. The size is marked as 7 3/8". The depth inside is 4 5/8." Brim is 2" wide all the way around with a 3/4" turn up on the sides. The total length is 12.5" front to back, total width is 10 3/8" across sides, and it stands 5 1/4" tall. The hat is in perfect condition with NO snags, fading, stains, or odors.
