Johnny Nash Red Label Promo 7": Don't Take Away Your Love / Moment Of Weakness - 1962 Warner Bros.

Comments: This record was cleaned, then fully play tested. This record has bands of apparent groove wear that produce some unusual surface noise, so please read the rest of the description carefully. I'm asking less than the going price for this record to allow for the problem described below.

Record Condition (for the eyes): I gave the record a VG- grade for the combination of appearance and sound. The playing surfaces are mostly glossy with some light surface scuffs. At the beginning of each side there are bands of what appears to be groove wear. On the "Don't Take" side, the groove wear has a short band without wear in the middle. I'm pointing that out because when you listen to the video sound sample, you can hear the difference in surface noise when the needle leaves the groove wear briefly before entering the next section of groove wear. There is a a little edge chip with no effect on play at the 10 o'clock position on the "Moment" side.

Record Condition (for the ears): Each side of the record starts out with a period of uncommon sounding hiss/static/distortion as the needle travels through some bands of groove wear. The groove wear band is narrower on the "Moment" side than on the "Don't" side. After the groove wear ends, there are intermittent, but brief, instances of that groove wear sound. General background record surface noise is heard as a mild crackle otherwise. Forgetting about the surface noise for a moment, you can hear that the quality of sound in the music itself is still good and plays with satisfying tone. So the question you have to ask yourself is "Can I set the surface noise issues aside and still enjoy the record for the good qualities I can see and hear, or is that groove wear noise just too much?" There were no skips or sticks of course on either side of the record. You can check out the sound in the video provided in the photos section. Crank up the volume for maximum enjoyment!

Record Labels Condition: The labels look good with mild wear. There is no writing on the labels. The label text is readable and the graphics look great.

Sleeve Type: Radio Shack's "Realistic Record Protector" paper sleeve.

Sleeve Condition: The sleeve is in VG+ condition with just a little wear There are no seam splits.

Shipping Notes: This will be protected with proper packing materials when shipped, so don't worry about a thing!

For items to be delivered outside of the USA, buyers should be aware that any customs fees / taxes that are required by your government are your responsibility and are not covered by the cost of the item or the shipping charges.

I promise to pack your item securely, no matter what it is. Everything I ship gets packed well, so don't worry about a thing.

If appropriate I will add insurance coverage. Sometimes I will add signature tracking (USA) when your item is shipped. Signature tracking ensures that the postal service doesn't leave your valuable item unattended on your doorstep out in the sun or rain - it has to be handed over face to face. If you order something rare and/or worth a bit, be prepared to have to accept delivery in person.

When multiple items are shipped together, I can almost always give you a better deal on the shipping cost compared to the individual shipping costs. I promise to give you the best rate possible based on the items purchased and the shipping method required.

For "Buy It Now" items (most of what I offer), simply add each item that you want to your shopping cart. When ready to commit to buying, request a total from me from your cart and I'll send an invoice as soon as I can. Since I'm not a computer and I do other things like sleep and take the dogs for walks, you might not receive an immediate response, but I will get back to you as soon as possible. If you decide to pay for items you want individually instead of requesting a total from the shopping cart, I will promptly send back whatever money I can for a shipping discount.
  • Some items are not compatible for combined shipping.
  • Combining shipping might require changing the shipping method or increase packaging materials expense.
  • A few items that I offer are not eligible for combined shipping.
  • Of course it is ok to ask about combined shipping costs up front. You have to tell me exactly what you intend to buy and where it will be shipped. I can't always give an exact cost, but I can at least give you an estimate.
  • I reserve the right to limit the number or total value of items that I'm willing to send in a single package.
  • For international sales I use ebay's international shipping program. Combined shipping depends on the ebay shipping program rules in place at the time of shipment. It is possible that no combined shipping discount is available for international orders.
