A pristine wooden tole painted, lidded dish and a pencil box with a decorated wooden spoon and unfinished knife. Painted and signed by Jo Sonja. Jo Sonja was a friend of my late mother. I don’t know if this set was gifted to my mom or if she purchased it during one of her numerous trips to Jo Sonja’s studio in the 90’s. This is an exquisite set with a green antiqued background, birds, flowers, and leaves in blue and white, outlined in black. The knife background color has been painted but there is only a tracing of the pattern which is unpainted. The set is signed by the artist and dated 1997.
