A very significant antique dagger of Middle Eastern origin. It is all original & a very utilitarian knife. It has a leather sheath that appears to be hand made .The brass decoration protects the edges with a scalloped brass pattern. The Brass top of the sheath is inscribed with what appears to be an Arabic symbol & the middle is decorated with a fish. The sheath also has a leather tie around it with red knobs at the ends.
The Dagger has a 10 inch blade and a 5 inch wooden handle. The handle is nicely decorated and has some applied brass decorations. The blade has no markings . It is sharp & made of steel.
In addition to the sheath providing protection for the large 14 inch dagger it additionally has sheaths attached for smaller knives. Two smaller knives are included with this .
